Eothen Homes Limited is a charity established in 1950, providing residential care for Christians reaching retirement age.

The aim at Eothen is to provide our residents with a high standard of individualised care and accommodation within a homely, relaxed and comfortable environment where physical, spiritual and social needs are met and where privacy, dignity, independence, fulfilment of civil rights, security and choice is provided for all.

All of the Eothen homes have achieved an excellent 3 star rating with the Care Quality Commission.

The North East Regional Faiths Network promotes good relations between people of different faiths in the region.  The NERFN aims are to bring together people and organisations from all faiths in the region in a network for sharing information, learning from one another, developing skills and projects, and forming partnerships.

NERFN Aims:

NERFN are a forum for faith communities across the region which ensures that the voices of faith are heard by local and regional policy and decision-making bodies. Faith communities support our network’s activities, in partnership and with the local community and work together to enable statutory agencies to engage with faith communities across the region.

Improving the opportunities for teaching literacy and numeracy.

Raising the standard of children’s literacy and numeracy skills is a key government priority. These basic skills are recognised as the foundation for a successful future life for children but the foundation still face obstacles towards raising achievement for all. The website hosts a wide range of lesson plans, activities and resources designed to enable teachers to develop pupils’ literacy and numeracy skills in more imaginative and creative ways. The region’s archives have provided the source material to create these unique resources, which are themed around topic areas.

Primary Sources is a Heritage Lottery Funded project. The resources on this site have been developed by primary school teachers, working alongside learning professionals from six archives in the North East region. Developed specifically for Primary Sources, and designed for use by any primary school teacher, these resources will offer you a fresh and engaging approach to teaching basic skills.

The DWN aims include:

• a voice to lobby

The Digital Women’s Network was formed by women keen to increase the number of women involved in digital activities across the North East.
